Lupus & UV Rays from Fluorescent Lightbulbs.

The other day I dugg an article about the possibility of banning regular lightbulbs for the, apparently, more energy efficient fluorescent bulbs. Recently, I had been informed from a friend who also has Lupus that not only are we (people with lupus) sensitive to sunlight, but also to the UV rays in fluorescent lights as well. There is a petition circling around somewhere about encouraging California rethinking its pending ban on incandescents. The petition points out that many people are photosensitive and that, while we're concerned about energy conservation, we shouldn't be forced to use a product that makes us feel ill and provokes flares. I think it would allow for a medical release from the ban or something instead of stopping the ban completely.
