aw! it really really means a lot that you appreciated this posting. i kind of figured there needs to be a little bit of focus toward the young people dealing with these issues. I know there are a lot of us!

Absolutely! My boyfriend brings me fresh flowers every 2 weeks and my mom sends me cards all the time. It's the tiny things that really keep me from losing my mind. It reminds me that I'm still human.

Thank you!!!

I understand about leaving out all the prayer stuff but what has being over 50 got to do with these suggestions? I hate it when (young) people assume that a person over 50 is somehow a different species or that someone over 50 isn't likely to be hanging out on places like LiveJournal.

Well, I hadn't added anything that had anything to do with these suggestions yet, but I am planning to. I wasn't emaning to be offensive AT ALL, but you should understand that being so young with these illnesses is quite a different experience than someone who is dealing with it at an older age.

We often get comments like 'You're too young to have stuff wrong with you." etc, which are incredibly hurtful. Comments like that in general are annoying, but please understand I wasn't trying to be hurtful. I'm going to add more age appropriate stuff later.

yeah, it's hard to deal with because you know that they are just concerned and worried about you. Their heart is in the right place. But if I want to talk about it, I'll talk about it. To have a 15 minute conversation where you are practically getting drilled about what is going on medically.. It's anxiety inducing!
