Black Friday

Soooo...It's the day after Thanksgiving, aka Black Friday. Anyone know why, exactly its called this? It reminds me of the plague or something. So I hope everyone had a good Turkey day. Mine was alright. I woke up about 7:30 (which, with going to bed before 10:30 isn't all the early). Then I was going to take a shower, but that ended up not

It's called "Black Friday" because it is supposed to be the day when retailers start to turn a profit for the year (going from "in the red" to "in the black"). At least, that is how the name got started...I read the other day that in recent years, retailers have been running in the black for several weeks before "Black Friday." (I suppose when the economy isn't doing that well, it might take until after Thanksgiving for them to start making money.)

Good Lord, that's a lot of people in one house!
