i am was TIRED of keith hamilton cobb's character quincy. he seemed stalkerish and his character was poorly written. his soap opera skills did not translate to the romantic drama tv medium. he just looks like a gargoyle who has deep boundary issues.
THE ACTING IS BETTERversion20October 30 2008, 16:53:12 UTC
the movie is so so so so much better you can really see all the growth that the actors have achieve.....and the movie was amazing and entertaining..... im glad it opened up this week as the number 2 grossing independant movie in america 2nd to Angela jolie's changeling...thats huge and it was only in 5 theatres across the country and has no mainstream advertising so far
I'm glad I added you. I love this post. I can be somewhat of a cultural critic myself and I definitely agree with your assessment of the cast being ghetto-fied. I think in an attempt to "keep it real" they are simultaneously keeping it stereotypical. Nevertheless, I don't think it entirely consumes the show. They have successful created or more importantly, REFLECTED multi-dimensional, self actualized black gay men. I do have a deep appreciation of Noah's Arc ONCE i got over the acting. My sistafriend told me about the show & I watched the first ten minutes and turned it off. I couldn't take it. She told me to keep watching it & I did. Once I got over the acting and got in to the story lines I loooooved it! I am looking forward to the release of the movie. I wish I could go to New York! Well, I guess I could -- I live in Philadelphia....
