"Let's do the Time Warp, agaaaaaiiiinnnn"

I've grown a real bizarre obsession with 80's music lately. I've been getting a whole bunch of it from LimeWire and I haven't been able to stop. I know it has something to do with watching The Wedding Singer the other day. I may have only been alive in the 80's for like, 5 years, but I have so many VIVID memories of the years AFTER, when my parents ( Read more... )

Was it last Friday night when you watched The Wedding Singer? Cause I was watching, too - hahaha.

I'll probably respond back with a song later, but is that "one suave fuck" quote you said during your earlier comment from Blue Velvet, or am I crazy?

The time warp...oh man...

Ok, I got a mini-challenge for you, Smith and Big Smith (Little Smith can do it too if she wants haha). For my comp graphics class I have to create a movie poster. I chose *drum roll* Cidade de Deus!! Can't help it, love that movie, and it's easy to do a "teaser" poster, which is basically what this is.
So here's the challenge since I need help with creativity right now.
I need a one line (or so) of text for the poster describing the movie. You know what I'm talking about. Something that starts with "In the City of God..." or something similar. And I know someone who speaks Portugese so I am going to ask her to translate it as well ^_^
So GO GUYS GO! Help me out! I can't think of anything good...
Oh, and I'm using ONE image. I took an image of Rocket's camera and an image of Lil Dice holding a gun, so that you see the gun "reflected" in the camera. Tell me what you guys think!
Thanks!
Lena

Props for choosing City of God - that movie's fucking incredible. The above link should take you to imdb's taglines for the movie, so maybe those could work. There's also a line that Rocket actually says in the beginning, something along the lines of, "In the City of God..." I don't remember the end of it. I'll have to pop in the DVD and get back to you.
