According to the NY Times, a bill is being passed that requires people to show a US birth certificate in order to recieve Medicaid benefits. Not only does this hurt people who do not have a copy of their birth certificate (such as old or poor people), but it will kick about 35,000 people, mostly undocumented citizens, from recieving health care ( Read more... )
