AHAHAHAHAHHAHA when I was in 5th grade I was going to this "highly gifted magnet" (translation : school for nerds) and we were studying the states and their origins and such and some kid said "how come colorado and wyoming are so close to square and everything else is so... funky?" Our teacher looked at him and said something along the lines of "funky? yeah, you're going to make a GREAT cartographer." And then, I will never forget this, the boy I had the biggest crush on said "land masses aren't square, moron! How are you going to split this country into perfect squares?!" heheheheheh
