LCC

The inside of the Lincoln Country Club looks and smells like my great grandmother's house a few years before she "moved" to an assisted living center. I'll bet if I'd looked around a little I would have found a lidded crystal dish full of 10 year old root beer barrels.

The FLO retreat is there today and I had to run a cable out there for them so they could hook up their projector.

Two amusing LCC anecdotes:

At the Irvin house we always called it the LCC, but at the Friedman house, LCC meant Lincoln Correctional Center, 'cause Brenda did tutoring there.

My grandmother used to like to point out that the only two places she ever had her purse stolen were from the coat room at First Plymouth Church and the coat room at the Lincoln Country Club.

If I was a purse snatcher those are two places I'd hang around waiting for the staff to be not paying attention.
