Question for Lincoln ppl re: bikes

Where's a good place to buy a used bike? I'm not talking a vintage Schwinn or anything like that but a mountain bike that's a few years old that has been refitted.

Haha. I let Jonathan take that to his garage because he needed one more means of locomotion.

I've heard very good things about Monkeywrench. You might also check out new sale bikes. We just got Amos a new mountain bike from Cycleworks for ~ $200 and it's way nicer than the one I paid $300 for five years ago. Aluminum frame, even.

But what's the deal with bikes not coming with kickstands any more? That's kind of irritating.

Sweet. I think I have enough spare cash to get a bike and a Wii if I can get something decent for under $200.

Oh, and also: Monkeywrench or Cycleworks will work on anything you bring to them (for a modest fee, of course). So, if you find the bike of your dreams in somewhat shabby condition somewhere, you can have them fix it up for you.

There are a couple good used bike places in town. One on about 28th and South Street and one on about 58th and North Cotner.

Both in the phone book.

Re-cycled... heh heh.
Used Bike Shop... very creative.
