♠05: bad memories, bad omens

Such pretty colors~!

It almost seems like seven years ago...

...that's a bad omen for even reminding me of that...

I don't like this. I fear something bad is going to happen. Time to stock up. Off to the City Mart!

Water, food, blankets, batteries...

...This sorta thing's happened in your world before?

No, but the last time I saw meteors here in the City, a lot of stuff went wrong... We had lots of insects everywhere, then a series of very random curses went down.

A meteor though... We had one giant meteor crash and destroy Shibuya in my world. The Worm came into my world through that meteor.

That ain't all that hard to believe...

Talk about a noisy entrance.

Apparently my world has an alternative history... in that one, the meteor instead vaporized the oceans.

The hell? All of 'em?

Wars broke out over water. Fish became a luxury worth more than gold.

War'll break out over anythin'. That's a better excuse than a lot of other ones I've heard of.

Add the Worm in, and it's utter chaos.

...Either way, ain't likely they're the cause of it this time.

Heh. Gotta wonder what the deities are up to...

I doubt it, but this is too familiar to me. I makes me overly worried.

The Deities? Knowing them, they're all laughing in glee at our reactions to our recent misfortune.

What's recent 'bout it? Guess it can't hurt to be more prepared than usual though.

We are all reacting to a series of what seems to be natural disasters. The normal people here must be freaking out. Us supernaturals are only being calm because we've probably been through worse already.

Somethin' like that. In any case, it's unsettlin' no matter what anyone's been through. The City ain't exactly predictable, even if the people in it are.

Without a doubt... that's why I'm stocking up right now. I don't know what's going to happen, but I don't want to get caught unprepared.

You want to come down and start stocking up as well?

Might as well. Probably'll get yelled at if I don't.
