I have a question for everyone here; do you think the ends justify the means, no matter the cost or are there times when the means can never justify the end results?

I think it depends on what your "means" are.

What means would you consider to be unacceptable?

Well, I think...

[She pauses. GOD THIS IS A DIFFICULT QUESTION FOR HER.]

I think that sometimes, breaking the law can be justified. But hurting other people never is.

[He feels her pain. He is not looking forward to explaining his actions to Euphy, sob.]

I agree that hurting another person should always be a last resort, but what if you have to hurt a group of people to protect an even larger group of people from harm?

[Catches her hesitation.] Please don't feel obligated to answer anything you're uncertain about, I'm mostly sorting out my own thoughts.

I guess it depends on the ends and the means. Doesn't it.

[That probably should be a question there at the end. It, uh, probably doesn't sound all that much like one...]

Do you think that there are any means that are never justifiable?

[A prolonged pause as he considers what he's done and why and so on.]

Probably not.

That really depends on what someone did... [If this Katara is from after Southern Raiders, you'd probably have a clearer answer, Suzaku.]

Is there anything you think that no matter the circumstances, is unforgivable?

[Oh, she can think of something alright.]

Taking someone's mother away from them.

Taking the life of a parent is unforgivable, isn't it?

Why is it that you want to know?

Everything that's happened recently has gotten me thinking about a couple of things.

It's rather a case-by-case basis, isn't it?

That seems to be the general consensus.
