The thunder and lightning are getting closer and closer to the hilltop.  No rain just yet, but things are steadily getting louder and darker.  I wonder if I am going to lose power?

...no, change that... there are sheets of water coming down outside right now.

It started out coming down hard, but it quickly relented. The storm lasted about as long as the one in the cartoon.
