The first thing Ino notices is that she's in a castle. And not a cool castle, but the stereotypical one, all dusty and drafty and cold. She's in a hallway of some sort, that much is obvious, and as she looks around, takes in the stone walls and dreary tapestries and the dull sound her shoes make on the floor, she hears voices.
And immediately starts heading towards them, because she's definitely not going to stick around in this place alone. But as she wanders into some sort of entrance hall, she finds something unexpected.
A girl hugging Leon.
Whoa. Whoa. His sister? But she'd already met Rutee. A friend? A girlfriend? That seems way too hard to believe, but he is definitely blushing.
Still reeling from the shock, she quietly hovers and watches the reunion unfold before her, waiting for either of them to notice her, or at least a more tactful time to interrupt.

The hug last a few more moments, because Marian seems entirely unready to let go of Leon. But when she does, she's smiling and trying hard to continue holding back tears that had already started rolling down her cheeks.
"I'm sorry, Leon- I must have gotten your shoulder wet with this silly crying of mine. I'm just so happy to see that it's true; that you're really alive."
And there's a smile on Leon's face in response to it, and he shakes his head, "It's fine. Ah, Marian- will you come with me?"
"You know I will, but where are we going?"
"I don't know. Somewhere that isn't Seingald. This city has bad memories for you, doesn't it?"
Taking Marian's hand shyly and turning to the entrance, preparing to leave. And suddenly, he's reminded that he's not in Seingald. He's in the City because there's Ino standing at the edge of the room and she wasn't from Erther.

As nosy as Ino is, there comes a point where even she realizes that some moments are too intimate to be eavesdropped on. So she looks away as they converse, very strongly considering just turning around and hoping for the best.
Until she's caught.
"Oh, uh," she stalls, trying to cover up the awkwardness with a smile. At least he's kind of glaring at her, instead of smiling tenderly at this Marian person. That had been a weird thing to watch.
"Looks like I get to hang out with your guys a bit," she answers cheerily. "Sorry for interrupting your moment."

Rutee is in a little disarray. She can't quite see clearly, but starts walking around anyways. The setting definitely had some sort of strange feeling about it.
Perfect, first she appears in a place called the city not so long ago, and now this? Thinking that maybe Miktran was controlling her, Rutee tried to think straight, but nothing stopped her from existing in this area.
Not too long after walking around, she heard Leon's voice and quickly went to eavesdrop on her little brother.
When she peeked around the corner of the wall that hid her presence, she saw Leon there...and Marian!?
"Ah-!"
Rutee quickly covered her mouth with her hands and retreated to behind the corner. Really?
Leon heard that noise, stiffening and pulling away from Marian to find the source of the sound. After all, he'd committed, so if someone had spotted him, it was dangerous for him and for Marian who might get caught in the cross fire.
"W-who's there!" His hand is reaching for Chal, but Marian's hand closes over it.
"Leon, shouldn't you be more polite-? I suppose you really haven't changed, after all this time."
A flustered blush and he settles for resting his hand on Chaltier's hilt. "Come out from hiding."
dream actiongald_or_gtfoJanuary 14 2010, 04:12:00 UTC
Oh no, Rutee had been heard. Well, fortunately for her, being sneaky and fast was her specialty. She decided to slowly inch her way out of the vicinity. Being caught here would just lead to an unwanted yelling contest. And plus, there was no telling what that guy would do if he knew he was being seen with his precious Marian.
"..."
Slip...slip...slip...Just a little further and she was sure that she'd be out of sight.
Leon won't let the intruder off that easily, so after he assures Marian that he will definitely come back, he's off to follow in the direction he'd heard the noise.
And once he's out of earshot of Marian-
"You won't get away, sneaking around like that. Show yourself!"
...well, this was new. Of all the places that Shing had seen in the City, a castle wasn't one of them. Again...? Shing muttered quietly to himself, sighing. At this rate he'd end up visiting the entire universe.
He sighed -- it was a little sad, this castle. It reminded him of Quartzia, in a way, seeing the lifeless castle halls and wandering along, imagining just who would've lived here.
Then, there were voices. He blinked, trying to figure out the sound of the voices before he walked into the entrance hall.
And saw Leon with a girl.
Shing nearly gasped in surprise, but then remembered Leon's temperament -- it'd be bad if he got caught, huh? So he did what all good heroes would do.
Which is... to hide behind a nearby window drape that hung all the way down to the floor and hope that he wasn't interrupting anything. Good job, Shing.
Leon and Marian seem rather preoccupied with each other that neither had noticed the movement. Marian too busy crying on his shoulder, and Leon too busy blushing and trying to comfort her awkwardly.
"Marian... We should leave this place, don't you think? We can go somewhere- together. Hugo can't stop us."
Marian smiled at the idea, nodding in agreement. "That's true, isn't it? Where do you want to go, Leon?"
"Ah- you should choose."
Shing, if you don't interrupt them, you might have to deal with watching an embarrassing display of Marian's sweetness winning Leon over forever.
Oh, man, they're so lovey-dovey, aren't they? At least, that's what Shing's thinking at the display of pure cute from those two.
"I wonder if... Kohaku and I could be like that someday..." Shing whispered to himself as he watched -- now that he thought of it, Marian did look like an older version of her.
Still, he decided to hide and watch, having nothing better to do. Besides, he reeeeeeeeally didn't want to bother them just yet.
Leon would be mortified if he knew they were being watched. Thankfully he hasn't noticed just yet, and they're smiling timidly at each other. Like a couple that just got together or something.
Though in reality, it's more like seeing the person you care for most after eighteen years of being apart. So it's not surprising that they're so caught up in each other, because it's been a long time. Not as long for Leon, since he'd been dead for most of that time, but it'd certainly felt like an eternity.

When he sees her, he recognizes her instantly. She's kind-looking, sweet, gentle, soft, so very sad, and he feels that alien feeling of guilt for having bloodied that pretty face.
And he can't help but notice just how happy Leon looks with her. Yuri already had a good idea of just how much Marian meant to Leon, but to see it firsthand is something else entirely.
He lurks nearby, not wanting to interrupt and open his big mouth for a change.
dream action~swordmasteringJanuary 14 2010, 04:48:37 UTC
Leon, too preoccupied by Marian, didn't notice Yuri at the edge of the room. He was blushing and resting his hand on Marian's hair, noticing how soft her hair was for the first time because he'd never gotten to be this close to her before.
"Marian, you don't need to cry, really. I'm not going anywhere this time. No military, no missions. Hugo isn't here anymore, we're not his pawns anymore," a soft voice, one that he pretty much never uses when talking to people in the City.
"Of course, you're right Leon. It's just that- I can't help but be happy to see you after so long."
"I know," he answered, far more understanding with her than with... Anyone else, really. He also took this moment to glance up and around, out of caution. And low and behold, he spots Yuri. And he tenses, suddenly a little agitated and ready to protect Marian.
"You- why are you here?" Yeah, there goes the change of voice. He's demanding an answer, and it makes Marian look up to where Leon was looking.
dream action~swordmasteringJanuary 14 2010, 06:44:55 UTC
You shouldn't be here.
[There's a bit of disdain in his voice. But can you blame him?]
Leon... Perhaps you should hear them out first, don't you think you're too harsh with the things you say sometimes? He's a friend of yours, right? You seem to know him.
[And here's Leon with his face heating up because he just got scolded in front of Yuri of all people. So he's looking away with a slight hmph.]

Stahn's starting to get a feeling of deja vu here, what with the being-in-a-completely-new-place thing happening all over again. How did he even end up here? The last thing he remembers is falling asleep, and surely he didn't get kidnapped again, because that would just be too stupid. There’s a sort of surreal feeling this time, though, as he wanders the hallways of the place. At least this kind of setting is more familiar to him, though in his current disorientated state, he can’t really pick out whether he knows the area or not. At least there’s no stupid device this time, he supposes.
He makes sure to stick to the element of caution this time, his footsteps kept quiet as he slowly wanders the empty hallways. He has no sword with him, and if it comes to a fight, all he’s got is his hands. That thought sticks with him until he suddenly turns into a not so empty sort of room, where he sees two figures - and he doesn’t really recognise them yet - hugging. Oops

Leon's head snaps up at the noise coming from the entrance way. He wasn't expecting to be interrupted by anyone. He looks around for the source of the noise, but doesn't see the culprit. But he's planning on finding them.
Reluctantly, he pulls from Marian's hug, still blushing a little as he mumbles something about him being right back.
And then he's off to chase whoever had made that noise. So he's probably hot on your trail now, Stahn. With Chaltier brandished.
dream action;myswordtalksJanuary 14 2010, 07:20:24 UTC
Stahn's just standing a few steps behind the corner, trying to figure out what the hell to do next. On one hand, he's stuck in this new place with nothing familiar except for Leon and... and Marian, but on the other hand, he doesn't want to intrude on them; he can't do that, not after everything that's happened.
And so he's just standing there, still kind of stunned when he suddenly catches sight of a very annoyed looking, armed Leon right in front of him. He takes a quick step back again, eyeing the sword nervously, his expression one of surprise and uncertainty.
dream action;swordmasteringJanuary 14 2010, 07:50:35 UTC
"What are you doing here!"
Leon is rather displeased by this interruption, and doesn't resheathe Chal because of his irritation. And he's kind of embarrassed, though he's doing his damnedest to hide it.
"Do you make it a habit of listening in on people?"

Is this a curse? Why are you here?
[Marian looks so very confused by the conversation.]
Curses? Leon, what are you talking about? Ah, are you a friend of Leon's?
