Yeah, I always hate that point in a language class--because you stop learning things because you've LEARNT all the grammar and you've LEARNT all the exceptions and what have you, and so just applying it is all that's left to be done--except that you can do that just as well, and probably more enjoyably, on your own.

Maybe if you feel so meh about projects you should talk to your Madame about it, or write her an email in French explaining that you're sorry and don't understand where the lack of motivation is coming from. I'm sure that, if she is a good person (as she seems), it will be comprehensible to her.
