I adore Kirk's upward, open gaze and the shading. You always rock the bright colors so stunningly well. Excellent inquisitive Spock working his tricorder. The environment is so lush, alien and inviting, you're amazing with that! The leaves frame Kirk's head like a crown, symbolizing him as sovereign of the land (at least to me). And finally, the deckled edges. Deckled edges! They are the perfect finishing touch to this diptych.

Thank you very much, m'dear! and yeah. . the deckled edges. . it's a pain in the butt using the select tool in Photoshop to carve out the edges after they've been scanned 0_o
