St. Valentine's Day is for lovers, Scyther. It's about celebrating the one dearest to your heart.
Its origins are a bit fuzzy, but one popular legend is that Valentine was a priest in third-century Rome. Emperor Claudius II outlawed marriage for young men because he believed that single recruits were better than wed ones, but Valentine continued to conduct weddings in secret. He was caught and martyred, but his name lives on in our modern Valentine's Day.

To give one's life in the name of love... it truly is a stirring tale.
Of course, it's also possible Valentine was only acting because he realized what the consequences of banning marriage for an entire generation would be.
