KAMUI IS A CUTE AND OVERLY SRS KID. Hyuuga had no idea he knew Mikage or anything. He was just pinged by O NIGHTMARES because he deals with that a lot himself with Ayanami, who has recurrent nightmares and needs to be coaxed to bed and all that. So he knows some methods, saw Kamui was having a problem, and offered advice, with no ulterior motives. HE DIDN'T MEAN TO RAPEFACE OKAY. HE JUST LOOKS IMPOSING SOMETIMES. XD And then Mikage jumped in and was all PROTECTIVE and Hyuuga was amused. Because Hyuuga is really absolutely not a danger unless Ayanami suddenly out of nowhere goes "hey kill that random kid that Mikage kinda knows for some reason that has something to do with Teito." And that's not likely and Hyuuga knows that too, so he was sort of like "lol." But he knows Mikage has no reason to trust him, SO. He understood and wasn't offended, just kind of surprised and amused.

MIKAGEEEEE. Hyuuga sympathizes with Mikage quite a bit. He UNDERSTANDS Mikage's feelings for Teito and goes so far as to regret that things had to end the way they did. Because Hyuuga knows that Mikage could just as easily be him, and Teito could just as easily be Ayanami, and it could be them in that position someday (and indeed that is probably how things will end for Hyuuga, in his mind). He knows it was wrong and unfair. I mean, that doesn't MATTER to him. Because what matters is Ayanami. But that doesn't mean he doesn't recognize the truth of what they did to Mikage

MORROLAN \o/ Well--like I said to Mikage, Hyuuga's not really the sort who talks to people or gets close to them to manipulate them, unless Ayanami ordered it or something. He knows full well that Morrolan is Ayanami's mortal enemy, and thus his too. But it's not an issue until an actual fight breaks out. He talks to Morrolan in the meantime because he finds Morrolan agreeable to talk to! YEAH ONE OF THEM WILL DIE WHEN IT'S TIME, but until then there's no reason not to be friends! And it's not a matter of "Well maybe if I'm his friend he won't attack Aya-tan or me" because Hyuuga's not stupid; he knows that's not how it works. He talks to Morrolan for the sheer joy of interacting until such a time when that's impossible, and even after that he'd be able to be friendly with him |D HE KNOWS MORROLAN IS VERY DANGEROUS and a part of him is like "holy shit soul-eating sword WHAT!" but it's not a fear exactly, just awe and amazement. Hyuuga cares A TON for Konatsu in a kind of little brother sense, and also in a friend sense |D WE ARE SO FRIENDS, KONATSU. I assume they hang out quite a bit because that's just--how it is being a Black Hawk, they kind of just have one another. I mean they don't seem to be VERY POPULAR. And Hyuuga's Ayanami obsession prevents a lot of stuff like that back home. Like Hyuuga's a pretty charming and fun guy and he could probably go out and make friends like crazy BUT HE HAS NEXT TO NO INTEREST IN THIS, he wants to stay by Ayanami instead. And Kuroyuri is . . . Kuroyuri . . . and Konatsu is the way he is, he's not the kind of guy who goes out drinking and picking up on guys chicks PEOPLE either. But they go to the onsen and stuff!! and I just kind of assume that their life is like that in general, that even when they're not working they hang out for lack of anyone else who Understands. AYANAMI AND KONATSU'S LOVECHILD, THE VIOLENT TSUNTSUN OVERLY SRS LITTLE YUTA. Hyuuga loves kids and he loves that type of person so Yuta is just. Hilarious and awesome to him. He gets that Yuta has Issues and isn't a normal little boy, but at the same time he IS a little boy in so many ways, and Hyuuga finds it really interesting. He and Yuta are like maturity opposites; Hyuuga is immature in his behavior but is mature in the sense that he is able to face himself, and Yuta is kind of the opposite. AGAIN THIS IS REMINISCENT OF KONATSU. So Hyuuga is really fond of Yuta and thinks he's a blast to tease and will allow himself to be topped by him because he's an adorable kid, but he's not just ANY adorable kid, he's LIKE A TINY ADULT and that makes him special.
