You should check your BIOS and see whether your hard drive is in the first boot order. Happens to me once in a blue moon

shouldn't matter it should still boot from the hard drive if the others things don't boot.

check to see if the Controller is even on, that would cause it to do that.

or if its the hd i would toss it out cause i've never seen anything like that.
