i'll wager a guess and say it's so that it'll really sink in that he's independent when he realizes he has no clean underwear and he's the only person who is going to do anything about it. i could be wrong.

awwww, muffin.

it's a good thing you're not going into a science or engineering, then. friends of mine in engineering at waterloo have upwards of about 33 hours of class per week (and that's only 1st year!). i'm extremely thankful for my [extraordinarily low amount of] 10 hours per week. boo ya!

including my chemistry and physics labs, it's 22 hours a week. so that's still not 33, but it is more than 10.

chemistry and physics? yeah, 22 sounds more like it. the reason my hours are so low is that one of my [full year] credits is a research project (which has no in class time). also, i have 10 as of now. that will likely change to 12 if i find out that two of my classes have tutorials (which i suspect they do).
