hehehe. well, maybe why wasn't the right way to put it. some people belive in God cause they were brought up to, some not; some people go to church, some don't; there's also jewish, catholic, lutheran, episcapelian (which i can never spell), etc (not to ignore non-western religions); some people don't believe in organized religion; and there are people who have "found" God or have had something happen to them that led them to certain religious beliefs...

i guess i'm just asking about what your take on religion is and why you feel that way? hm, that wording isn't much better...

yeah, if that's the question you want to answer. this is my random question game, just for fun and to get to know people better. the other part of the game is that you can (if you want) ask me a random question back. or the same question.

i have an unsure view on religion. i wasn't brought up very religious, i didn't go to church, went to sunday school or youth group with friends if i wanted to. i believe in God, that much i know, and i guess you could say i'm trying to find some more faith.

but i also believe there is only one God, and that he/she just has different names. i believe Allah, Buddha, etc, are all the same god. all of the vallues in those religions are the same.

that said, i do not believe in organized religion, at all. too much hate and arguing between them.

since i answered my own question already, in order to provide an example, when you guys ask one back (as you should, this is a game after all), do not ask me the same question.

Oy. Fine. What is the most embarrassing song on your playlist?

well, the dr. demento - does your chewing gum lose it's flavor song that you JUST sent me isn't ON my playlist, so ha.

i would have to say "thug passion" by tupac or "i wanna sex you" by color me badd. i say the tupac song cause i actually LIKE it and angel laughs at this fact and can't believe i have it (i am not really into rap) and the "i wanna sex you up" cause everyone LAUGHS at me (everyone KNOWS this song, it's from the early 90s maybe, but no one will admit to liking it, or to having it).

and you don't like avril lavigne, but i have some of her songs, cause i like the sound of them, i don't care about the artist, but i like the songs.

:-p

I was raised Roman Catholic from the moment I was conceived. My parents both have very strong faiths and my grandparents on my mother's side (being Filipino) are very Catholic as well. My Papa was a permanent deacon in the Catholic church (meaning that he could marry and have children) and Oa continues to this day to claim that she always wanted to be a nun ( ... )

Doh...forgot to ask you a question....

When I first met you at WAC, I thought that you were slightly snobby, but that was just because you were confident, beautiful and intelligent. My first impression was wrong...but was yours? What was your first impression of me?

hehehe, the funny part about that - i'm not confident. :-p

ok, i'm trying to remember the first time i met you, and i cannot pinpoint it, but i remember it was in dr. verville's honors bio class (obviously). i have a bizarre memory problem - i remember some things really well, but totally blank on others. so i can tell you my general first impression:

i thought you were kinda snooty too, but not in a "i'm better than you" way as much as an "i'm smarter than you" fashion. i was amazed at how smart you were (ARE) and was jealous, to tell you the truth. i also got the impression you were kind of a "loner" (not in a bad way) - just kinda happy to be by yourself and annoyed by humanity, and rude. (then again, we had some very annoying specimens of society in that class).

yes, i was wrong. you are increduously smart, but also love to share your knowledge and learn from others, and you are happiest being around yourself and those you love and you are the most honest person i know.... all of which i admire and respect.

love you!

:) I love you too. I do have a habit of being rude, but that's usually because I don't know when to stop. And I don't know how far I can go with certain people. It probably didn't help that Justin dry humped me in class....ick.

My religious views are well thought out but fairling unsubstantial. I don't believe in God. I don't believe in a sentient imortal all knowing being. I've really tried to. I'd love to have faith in something bigger than me, but I have really big trust issues and I need something proven, not proof in the negative, proof in the positve, before I'll believe something; and that's almost impossible to prove. Just because you haven't robed a bank yet doesn't mean you wont that's how big my trust issues are. I really admire people who have faith because they have acomplished something I haven't. I find that people who believe in something tend to be better people and I'm more likely to believe something a religious person says than someone who's not because a religous person (in some cases) believe that weather or not they lie matters. To someone like me when there is no god, no punishments or rewards after life, I have to create value and meaning in order for life to have value and meaning. I have to give value to a stranger life because if ( ... )

i understand your post. i am in the beginnings of looking for faith myself, and the only reason i've believed in God, to this point, is because i don't have a reason not to. i would love proof. i am scientific myself, and believe in physical provable proof (like darwin, i definitely believe darwin's theories, which goes against most christian beliefs).

i also respect you for sharing it. this is a "safe space," in that if anyone says anything disrespectful in reply, they're online ass will be kicked.

i would say cinnamon, but then it'd get all in my eyes and mouth and nose and ears, and i would develop a dislike of my favorite spice, which would be sad. would i survive the being buried alive ordeal? ok, my answer is.... soft blankets and stuffed animals. i like blankets and have many. could i get my air cooled tho? even as it runs out and i die? i hate breathing stuffy hot air under blankets.

better yet! could i be buried alive in cool, circulated air? ;)
