p.s. i misread the gram amounts on the table, but that doesn't change my point. if a pill containing 30mcg/day equates to 35 picograms/day in the blood stream.... how does 20mcg/day equate to 50pcg/day. WAAYY too much.
p.p.s. it is the mismarketing of the patch as a "low dose" birth control method that has me most upset. there are women who should not have such large amounts of estrogen in their system, nor be exposed to so much estrogen (i am one of them), and to market it as "low-dose" is misleading, as it just means that the patch CONTAINS a low dose, but that your blood contains a whole hell of a lot, and that is bad mismarketing with horrible health consequences for many women.
yes, can i just say i totally agree w/ you about the patch. My first OB/GYN ( i've had two so far, and they have both turned out to be well, shall i say, not the greatest). Anyways, i was telling my first GYN, that my periods were getting worse, blah blah blah for almost a year, she said it was normal, and more blah, blah, blah....so finally she said, well if u have endo, u'll have to end up on BC anyways, so let's just try the patch, so i slapped it on and the first week i felt WORSE *hmmm, gee, i wonder why? (sarcasm)*......hmmm, well, ponder this equation...... Estrogen + Endo/Endo symptoms, etc= ONE REALLY PAINFUL girl. ARGH, i don't understand doctors sometimes or even drug companies
( ... )
Hey miss suzy, That really does suck, i was just at the doctor and they tested my thyroid, and after the one test they said that it was working a little fast. Since, on both my mom and grandmother their thyroid works too slow, i was just wondering what all the hyperthyroid symptoms are and since you have that....i was just wondering. Also does that mean that i would need to go on a low dose of estrogen BC?
Well i was just wondering....i hope everything else seems to be going better. Hopefully i'll talk to you soon!
