latest project
i just learned to cross-stitch, self-taught as it's not as hard as it looks, really. i messed up on my first attempt (mis-counted) but my second attempt went well. there are a few mistakes, but none of them had a great affect on the outcome. just a missed stitch here or there, where it didn't matter. picture under cut.
i have to iron it to flatten the stitches so you can't see any white. i have to find directions for laundering/ironing it as i don't want to ruin it.
i'm going to get the book that has all the precious moments cross stitches of that collection - it's called "fur-ever friends" and they're all so cute.
i don't feel well enough to care about capitalizing things like "i" so :-p .... angel gave me whatever cough/cold he had last week. and i didn't get a call back for a job interview that (i thought) went really well. the dude said that he'd be calling people back on monday for second interviews with his boss - it's now wednesday. angel says i should call him. but what am i going to say? - "hi, this is allison burk, yes, you obviously aren't interested in hiring me, fuckface, but i thought i'd call anyway just to remind you that you aren't interested in hiring me and therefore you SUCK!"
can you tell i'm not happy about that? back to highlighting the classified ads and faxing like a mad(wo)man.
