Ok, well I have good news... I got a job! I start Tuesday. I'll be a legal secretary at a law firm with 5 associates and about 3 other secretaries I think. It's about a 25 minute drive from where I (now) live. I'll be a "rotating" secretary between three of the lawyers - different day, different lawyer. So at least I'll have variety. Now, you may ( Read more... )

Congrats on your job! :) And will you have your own room once Angel's mom moves out? I can't wait to live with Ken. Make lots of eye contact with people at school. I've been lucky, and I have a friend in just about every class (except PSY of Comm). I have a few people to speak of as friends, but hopefully I'll get more as school progresses.

We're too alike, it's scary!

Yes! I'm going to have my own room. *snicker* We are big fans of our own space. Not that we won't sleep in the same bed or what-not, but our computers will be in our own rooms, our clothes, etc. Right now, I'm semi-occupying his room (he sleeps on the couch, hehe).

Eye contact is the key, eh? Must try this. In high school, and at my other college, I didn't have problems making friends. Only made a few close friends... sadly. I think I just feel so out of the loop, socially, and nervous (sometimes I swear I have some sort of anxiety disorder).

Yes, we have many things in common, and it's eerie, yet comforting. I don't feel so weird!

And I think a comment I started on one of your posts did not get posted. I am sorry to hear about that officer, suicide is always a hard thing to deal with, for anyone involved. That he is remembered well and was well-liked, should be comforting.

Eye contact and a smile. Works well, for the most part. When/if Ken and I move in, I want to have a 2 bedroom place. It would be nice to be able to retreat to your own space if you have a fight or something.

Thank you about my officer. I appreciate it.

I have the same problem with friends but talking in classes (when appropriate) usually helps.

Awsome job that's just so incredible I know someone in law school who would have killed for a job like that.

he he, I liked your class posts I'll probably do the same.

Good luck with everything.

I'm glad school is going well so far!

And I'm having the same problem with making friends. Ugh. I vowed to make friends this semester, and so far it's not working too well ...
