Day In The Life post
One of my LJ friends, dingdongdead did a "Day In The Life" post and I decided to copy and do one as well!
Our day started this morning at 2:40am....
Olive stirs and is hungry, she nurses and falls back asleep.
At 5:19 am she is hungry and eats again. We go back to sleep.
We wake up for the day at 8:33 am.
Olive nurses...again.
We call my mom and see what she is doing.
Reggie wakes up.
We change into a clean diaper.
MOMMY ATTACKS!
We potty.
Reggie waits for us in the hall.
Olive usually helps mommy brush her teeth (Olive doesn't have any of her own yet).
Then, we let Reggie outside to do his business. He pees on the trash can first, usually.
While Reggie is going to the bathroom, we get some water.
Once Reggie is done, we turn the bed from this:
To this:
Although this looks like a mess, it's all of Olive's clothing and it is in piles by type. We need a dresser.
Here are the clothes we are going to wear today (Olive ends up changing).
Next, we turn on MSNBC to see what is going on in the news. Ahhh...the health care debate, awesome!
Then, we go from frumpty and sleepy eyed:
To crisp and hip!
Olive plays with a water bottle.
I check Facebook and Twitter.
Then I check Livejournal, BabyCenter, and BAM.
Olive yells at me to get off the computer.
We get our things ready to go to lunch with my mom. It's 9:30am.
Olive plays in her ball pit.
Then she plays on the couch.
We put on an OnDemand episode of Intervention.
Then we change our diaper.
Olive and Reggie wait for Nana. It's 11:12.
Nana's here! And she brought some trash cans!
We get in her car.
Ohhhh, we're going to Lee's Hamburger. Yummy.
Olive can't eat anything at Lee's so she muches on some Organic Green Puffs.
We're here with Lori! (Ugh, don't look at my facial issue)
Olive knocks out in the car after a good dangle boob.
We swing by the bank so I can make a deposit.
We come home and let Reggie out again.
I eat a poptart.
Olive walks around.
And cries at me.
And I check BBC, BAM, LJ, Facebook, and cruise Ebay for baby clothes :/
Olive nurses.
We wait for Nana again so we can take a trip to the park!
We're back in the car!
Woohoo, the park!
We slide.
And hang out with Nana.
And sit.
And swing!
We sit again and make flower crowns.
Then we go to the grocery store, Langensteins.
And then we come back home.
Oh! A package from FedEx!
And we put our groceries away first.
Then change our diaper.
Visit Mr. Mouse (and make a bizarre face).
Woohoo!!! Saints DVDs!
Reggie and Olive play.
We watch a Saints DVD.
Ohhh! The mail comes!!!
BABY CLOTHES.
Olive nurses and falls asleep.
After she wakes up, we eat a snack. We share some apples and I have ranch and carrots. Reggie eats most of Olive's food.
Then we take a walk to get an Icee. But we forget cash so we walk to Papa and Nana's house.
And we use our Babyhawk on the way there.
We find Papa asleep.
We hang out with Nana for a while and then leave.
We go to to Whole Foods to grab a pizza crust and an Izze.
And then come home.
We change our diaper, I put on Princess and the Frog and Olive plays.
We get bored of that show and go pet the dog down the street. Then change our diaper again before bed. It's 9:35.
Olive starts to show tired signs so we get in bed.
Olive nurses, has her back pat and scratched and then falls asleep. She's out at 9:57pm.
I start typing this and watch Dr. G Medical Examiner.
I decide to get a snack but I let Reggie out to use the bathroom first.
While outside, I rinse the diapers in the back shed.
Then, I wash the rest of the dishes.
And THEN I get my snack. Overpackaged apples, baked Ritz, and rice cake.
On the way back to the living room, Reggie and I wake up Olive. I nurse her back to sleep in a few minutes. Our bed is not the SIDS death trap it appears to be.
I return to the living room with my snacks and kill time watching TV until TWILIGHT COMES ON DEMAND AND 12:01.
NOW I'M WATCHING TWILIGHT 2!!!
I know I caught as much as a I could. I left out a few diaper changes (1 was a stinky!) and our actual walk but I had fun and I enjoyed this. I think I will use shutterfly to turn it into a book for Olivia.
