I saw that in R's LJ and was surprised/disgusted to learn that people in the freakin military were offended by it. Not only do I think it's clever, I hope that our military/intel ops WILL kill our enemies in their sleep if that's what's called for, as it was for GW et al. If we're really at a point where the people charged with protecting us personally (as in, not for pubic consumption, just in response to an internal email) cringe at the idea of doing WHATEVER is necessary to do so, I'm more worried than ever for the future of this country.
Or did the recipients of R's email misunderstand it and think it was a slap against the military, suggesting that they're somehow the "terrorists" our enemies (at home and abroad) say they are.
From what I gather, the people were offended because they believed the picture was disparaging the US. Someone's got their sensitivity dialed up and the brain turned down.
I showed this to my boys and they got a kick out of it. We have it hanging in our area now.
Well, since Washington's troops didn't make it to Trenton until early morning on the 26th, and the Hessians guarding the town were surprised but awake, nobody was actually killed in their sleep on Christmas. But it is funnier that way, I admit.

Either way, I'm nauseated.
Thanks for posting with pride!
