It is always the same.

I wait until everyone goes to bed, shut off all the lights, and stretch out on the couch and listen to Stille Nacht by Mannheim Steamroller. It is the most beautiful piece of music I know.

I watch the coals in the fireplace pulse, and glow, and die. This time of year the creek is covered in snow. It unfurls like a white ribbon
