Like a tangle of yarn? I must confess I sometimes wonder if I'm getting anywhere with that, or if I'm just moving the knots from one end to the other.

Yes, love and death will undo us like a tangle yarn needs to be undone but just as LC said to me - It's Time For The Scissors - "I" will always move the knots from end to the other - it takes the encounter with the other to undo us.
