Ok, I'm gonna say it:  I. Love. Roger. Ebert!!!

I remember watching Ebert and Siskel duke it out on their show, At The Movies, (PBS).  I've always been into movies and have loved reading reviews written by knowledgeable critics.  Ebert's were the most down to earth reviews while Siskel's were elitist (tho I will admit enjoying his reviews every once ( Read more... )

Totally, totally agree with you! Well said, babe. It's incredibly important to have equal marriage rights, not separate categories. Even in the UK, we only get "Civil Partnership". Separate is not equal, and it remains a divisive thing. It's as though it's the last thing they'll give up - they need to let us know we're below them, inferior. Grrr.

Good to see Ebert supporting us. And the whole of Judge Walker's judgement is the most wonderful, clear-eyed, reasoned refutation of the current inequality - whenever I feel bad about it, I just have to read a bit of that again. Such an incredibly important document. The tide is turning. :)
