Whee GRE

Off to take the GRE for Kaplan.  I have to score in the 90th percentile to be able to teach for them.  I know I'm not ready for the test yet, but they really want me to take it.  So *sigh*  At least this'll show me what I need to study.

I was freaked out when I took the GRE, but after a few sample tests that came with a book I bought--it was easy to get a high score. And I highly recommend taking the computer version--God created copy and paste for a reason.

It's not for grad school, but to teach at Kaplan. So I don't just have to do well, I have to be in the 10% of test takers. Sheesh.

Happily, I didn't have to do the Essay section! Huzzah!

But, alas, my scores were not so good. 88th percentile Verbal (actually, I was surprised, I didn't think I'd do that well.), but only 70th percentile for Quant!! Sheesh, math is my STRONG point, wtf? Actually, not being able to use a calculator was a lot of that... I think I'm a bit overly reliant on them. So, I get to practice doing unaided math, study myself some vocab, and retake it. Wheeeeeeeee.
