so close, no matter how far

Whoa. I take one day off writing (2.000 words for a story that'll never get posted, how weird is that? *gg*), and my flist explodes. I guess I'll just have to try and catch up with you guys tonight...

In other news, I threw together a Numb3rs wallpaper the other day and thought I might share the slightly weird result:

The wallpaper is really pretty! One of my favorite scenes between the two of them.
And I so love Apocalyptica's Nothing Else Matters! :)

And why don't you post that story? I'd love to read more of your stuff. :)

I'm not sure I can explain it... Basically, it's because the story is based on the same bunny that inspired emmademarais to write her gorgeous piece North and South. It explores pretty much the same situation (I thought she'd take a totally different approach), so that my story is rendered redundant (plus it would look like a cheap rip-off of Emma's story). Besides, it's just 3 pages of porn that no one will miss. :)

Thank you, glad you like it! I needed a change of scenery, so to speak, and thought perhaps one or two of my lj buddies might enjoy it, as well.

Oh yeah, UP is a killer ep. It's the one that turned me into a rabid Don/Charlie fan. All that subtext!!

The song is Teh Awesome. I'd completely forgotten about it, and then heard it abused as a background song for a documentary on stags yesterday. Voila, return of the addiction. XD

Gib's ruhig zu, das hattest du doch vor, als du uns vorgestellt hast *lach* Freut mich, dass es dir gefällt :) Ich brauchte mal Abwechslung von meinem langweiligen blauen Standardhintergrund *g*

I've been listening to Apocalyptica all weekend. Lush, gorgeous, dramatic, dark. Yum.

And perfect to write to. No pesky lyrics to distract me. ;)

Yes! I get distracted by lyrics, too. So I write to classical, Apocalyptica, house music (especially for NUMB3RS because it's canon.)

I just hadn't seen anybody mention them in a long time, and I love them.

Hee, I usually write to instrumental pieces or dancefloor / house. Pretty monotonous stuff, but it helps me stay focused like whoa. Got any recs?

My dad got me hooked onto Apocalyptica a few years ago - I'd pretty much forgotten about them until I heard Nothing Else Matters as background music on a documentary last week. And the love, it flared! ;)

I just wanted to alert you that I nommed four of your icons over at minortv_awards. You can find the post here.

I couldn't actually find the Charlie icon I nommed posted anywhere and thus if you'd like me to remove it because it's private I'd be more than happy to. I just really like it!

Also, very neat wallpaper. I don't know the show at all but your icons and the like for it are always so pretty.

And again, thanks for the noms. :) I really appreciate it.

The Charlie icon will be included in my next Numb3rs batch - I just haven't finished enough to post them yet, so no worries there. I'm really happy that you like it - I love how it turned out but figured it was a little too weird to suit anyone else's taste.

Also, I'm glad you like my Numb3rs stuff! It's a great show, with some of the most loveable characters I've seen in years, and it just keeps kick-starting my creativity.
