Someday it will all be over. But it does seem like the slog from hell.
Do you subscribe to Pocket Your Dollars? She puts together the weekly store ads from Walgreens, Target, etc. together with what kinds of coupons are available. Plus she gives heads up on other things. I managed to get a coupon for a free bag of Iams cat food, a groupon for Coldwater Creek and some other stuff. I try to only jump on the things that I would buy anyways, but I always feel very thrifty when I do.
I also only jump on the things that I need/use, and I don't buy more than I can use within a reasonable amount of time. I will admit, however, that seeing the savings I can get out of couponing has made me less brand loyal in many cases.
First hugs. I won't mention the renovation. Love the picture of the dogs looking out the door. Zinnias are my favorite flowers. Love saving money.
Thanks for the baby advice last night. Hayden was released tonight. He is lactose intolerant and has reflux. So you nailed it. :) He is doing much better. Lyn
Now see! If they had listened to me yesterday... LOL!
I'm assuming they put the little guy on a soy based milk or something?
Lactose intolerance isn't the end of the world. As soon as he's older and has a much stronger immune system, his body will be able to handle it a little bit better.
There is a bright side to things though; he will be able to have dairy in the future. Aged cheeses, for instance, are old enough that the strain of lactose dies off in them and makes them safe. It's the ones that aren't aged like the cheaper cheddars, farmer's cheese, cottage cheese, and non-aged mozzarella that can get you. As for things like ice cream...well...there's Lactaid Ultra. It doesn't *always* work, but it does help some.
I love all your pics, especially the ones with the puppies. :D
I had a feeling you were quiet because things weren't progressing as they should have so I've tried to keep from nudging. I hope you know you can email whenever you'd like. I don't mind "listening".
I've just been overwhelmed. Really, seriously overwhelmed.
The house looks good. It's going to be gorgeous when it's done, but all the set backs...ugh. Maybe I should just do a state of the union post, get it out of my system and be done with it! XD
I do appreciate you willing to lend an ear though. ♥
I don't know how Dad got the car into the garage. I know I would have ended up flattening everything in it. Then again, my depth perception is crap when driving.
I will definitely post pics of the tiger when it's done! Knitting is one of the few things that's keeping me relatively sane lately.
Speaking of sanity...this is actually our second and final kitchen redo. If I ever move, I'm getting a turn key!

The zinnias are very cheery!

Your dad did an amazing job of getting the car in without hitting anything.
Hope you post a pic of the finished tiger, would love to see how it turns out.
Can't believe it's been 52 days so far.
If any of you out there are contemplating redoing your kitchen, here's my advice -- don't.
... too late, already renovated two kitchens. lol.
