Early last week, Dad had surgery again. It was a minor thing, but he makes the *worst* patient ever. Everything they tell him NOT to do, he has to try doing, and, when he is behaving himself, he expects people to respond within seconds when he calls never mind the fact that people do need time to cook, clean, and go to the bathroom! I hope your Dad recovers soon so he can take care of things for himself. I'm sure he'll be much easier to deal with the more he can do. I just hope he doesn't rush his recovery and end up hurting himself.

I hope your headache is gone.

Our home is back to normal after a bit of a clean-up, but we still have friends without power and who've had flooded basements. Fortunately we weren't one of those who live near a river -- they're in much bigger trouble.

After hearing about the hurricane from friend's email messages, the first thing I did was check my flist to see who has posted they were all right. *Still* waiting to hear from two people, but, if they don't have power, they probably *can't* post anything ( ... )

Dad's getting better. Still grouchy as ever, but he's well enough to take care of himself for the most part. (One of use still has to change the dressing every day, but other than that he's okay.)

My headache has finally, mercifully stopped. Thank god!

Hope the headache is completely gone by now.

And that your dad makes a very speedy recovery so he stops driving you nuts. :))

He's getting there, but still a little grouchy. He likes to go out of the house and go shopping, but he can't do that since they sent him home with the drain tube still in. It's like a direct line for germs to get in or something so he's been stuck at home for the week...

...and driving us all batty.

Thankfully, the headache has gone down. I'm just praying it won't come back. It was a rough couple of days. :P
