Death is a topic I have a hard time with, largely because I don't know what my beliefs on the topic are. I don't know if I believe in an afterlife. Sometimes, I think I do only because the idea of death's terrible finality is too damned scary for me to fit in my head. I'm glad you got to read for her at the funeral--I've found getting to express what I've written at ceremonies like that really help me later. *hugs*
