I take my writing very seriously. It's pretty much the only thing in my life that I can talk about, rip apart, and not mind when other people make critical comments. Do the same with my violin playing and I'll burst into tears. For whatever reason, it doesn't bother me to turn an critic's eye to my writing. I want to be better. I want to get

SEEING RED

When I'm just getting started, I make a new file, highlight what I can't stomach, and color it RED. That seems to satisfy my inner editor... I can do anything to the "red" file. When I like it, I move it into the "real" document.

Stupid, I know...

What I really came over to ask is about that last new pix you posted (procrastination to get out of editing??? LOL) I can't read the green print. What does it say?

I just got a paid account and can now upload up to 100 userpics, so that's been entertaining me a lot. I don't even remember what the text says, I just wanted a Strongbad Icon (the cartoon character in the picture). :)

And I'm developing an editing plan so I can really get to it. It's been going pretty well so far. I'm 100% happy with the first chapter, which is good for me. LOL

I don't feel so badly then. I'm pretty well satisfied (until I miss another thing, like internal conflict...) with chapters 1-4. Five and six are a bit rougher, and 7 & 8 unreadable...
