Life is really shitty right now for a lot of people. We have men dying on a daily basis in far off foreign countries for what may or may not be a good outcome. We have a beautiful part of the country (that unfortunately I've never gotten to see) underwater, with lord knows how many thousands of people dead. I got an email from my aunt today. She told me how much brighter her days are now that she can communicate with people (THANK YOU BERTANA!), and how much her condition is improving.

Dude, I was just thinking about this; I almost sent you an e-mail asking about her before coming to LJ. I'm glad the laptop has been a help for her.

I'm so sorry to hear that her condition is worsening, though, hon. I think of her often and try to think positive thoughts for her, and the rest of the family. Know that if you ever need a shoulder, or anything else, I will be here for you.

Unfortunately it's just the nature of the disease. That's why I have such a hard time with it. Aunt Drema is such a glorious, beautiful person, and yet she is going through REAL hell. and that sucks.

I appreciate the shoulder, I really do. It means so much to know that people are there. :)

Hey there, this is from your "lying Aunt" LOL Im impressed with your journal writing and am feeling it goes much deeper than the surface reflects. Seems my little girl has grown up and made some choices in her life that we have not spoken aboutt together-but I am proud of you for doing/trying to live what you believe! I am a very open-minded person-remember? I get some very interesting vibes from your writings, and like I said Im Proud Of You! By the way-I prefer not to look at it as lying-Im being optomistic! The biggest part of the battle is in the head. If I can keep an optimistic view-keep hope alive, even on the days its agony to take each breath I may live to breathe in agony 1 more day. And thats the way I try to get thru each and every day. You, my dear, are the very reason I can have such hope and be optimistic in the midst of the suffering! You Are My Angel-My Shining Star-AND I LOVE YOU!! (anyway-its only thru suffering that we know we are truly alive.)
