So it was another trip to GP for a Dr appt and ultrasound this past Tuesday.  This time Richard didn't go with me and I drove myself - OMG I barely made it.  I was so exhausted that I was home and in bed asleep by like 7pm.  And my hips and back are JUST now recovering.   I am so ready to be done being pregnant ( Read more... )

Insulan is not bad for gd. Just ask for a pen injector, makes it so easy. I had to do that with the twins.

I'll probably go with the vials and syringes just cause they're cheaper though. I have no prescription plan and no BC Health so everything is out of pocket. This pregnancy has already cost us a couple grand, and the deliver will be worse.

EVERYTHING IS OUT OF POCKET? IDGI. Clearly I know nothing about Canadian health care, because I was told it was rainbow-painted puppies up in that bitch.

For me it is. Cause I'm one of those dirty immigrant types. I still dont have a visa yet. I'm here legally cause I've kept in status, but I'm waiting for immigration decisions, yadda yadda. My labor and delivery will be 4k a day, flat rate, regardless of vaginal or C-section. My first ultrasound was $78 at the hospital, and the subsequent ones have been $225 because it's at a free-standing center rather than the hospital. What doc are you planning on delivering with in GP?

I've been seeing Dr. Delacruz for a few months now, so hopefully her. She'll do the induction if it last that long. I've been high risk the whole pregnancy, and refused to deliver in Fort St John from the beginning, so I consider myself lucky to have an OB in GP already. I love her too, she's possible the best Dr I've ever had.
