Just got back from ER visit #3 within 24 hours with Isabel. She has a urinary tract infection AND an ear infection AND apparently is allergic to antibiotics.
I'm so tired from being awake all last night that I want to cry.
That is all for now.

I just checked on Zicam, by the way, and it there are different ways to take it (tabs, chews, sprays, etc.) and the its not reccomended for kids UNDER 3, so I think you'd be okay.

Feel better you guys. Did anything awful happen with the allergy?

And no, thankfully. I brought her in as soon as the hives started popping up and we got some benadryl into her. Its an exposure based allergy probably, so would have gotten worse each time she got the medicine. Im just glad it wasnt worse, last night she got a dose and went to bed, had one this morning, and then had one at noontime and went for a nap. IF she had been having trouble breathing, I dont know if I would have known.

what abx is she on? my kids are allergic to penicillin (augmentin), but while Samuel can take omnicef, Albert is also allergic to omnicef (since it is a cousin of penicillin, and something like 10% of people allergic to one are also allergic to the other). it sucks finding an abx that works.
check her breathing, usually though if there are breathing issues they'll pop up within an hour or two of exposure. I hope she feels better soon!
