I totally agree!

I hate it when I turn on CN at completely random times during a day and find THE SAME THING IS ON. People tell me I hate American cartoons because I'm a big anime fan. No, I hate (most, DEFINITELY NOT ALL) American cartoons because they are generally low quality in both animation and writing and are shown 7 jillion times a week! ARRGGGG.

RIP, Toonami. You got me into a lot of cool series. (Ahhhh, Outlaw Star~♥)

Totally. Most American cartoons are aimed at the little kiddies and taken pretty lightly by the general public. Anime is like another form of art.

Of course that's not to say that I don't like some American cartoons, but I think that while the animation buisiness is expanding, the age range they're aiming at is getting younger. And I refuse to believe I think that because I'm getting older. There was some darn good stuff on back then, and I'm including things I never got into as a child but found later, like Transformers. I think show writers and animators are just getting lazier than they used to be.
