What the hell are those and what do they do?

Like it says above, that's the Mugen Sports Suspension Kit for RSXs. It's a set of matched springs/shocks that makes the ride, handling, and cornering much, much, much better. It's expensive but it's basically the best you can buy.

Actually, the best ride you can buy is probably the Tein Flex Coilover system with the electronic dampner control computer, the proper name of which I forget. MSRP is about 2 grand, though. In it's case, you aren't just paying for a name, however, you're paying for a pretty quality control limit of your suspension.

Yeah, there's always that jump between $800-$1200 suspension setups and $2000 setups. I just can't justify that much money.

So you shelled out for a name without having much quality difference from most other coilovers on the market. I can't justify doing that. S'why I'm not interested in any Spoon or Mugen products. Unless it does my laundry, too.

Those aren't coilovers.

And once again, you're talking generally about the whole market, whereas I've read 1,000 reviews of all the suspension kits for the RSX and I picked that one that's universally hailed as the best for street use.
