I registered with Reed.co.uk - Reed are like Blue arrow and Hays some of the big nationwide guys. I also googled some of the 'local' agencies. IF you get a permanent job via an agency your new employer pays the agency a 'finders fee' if you do temp work it works on a similar thing - the agency gets a finders fee and you also work for the agency directly so the employer pays the agency and the agency pay you - usually means you earn less than the people employed by the company directly though.

How do you find agencies and the ike? Just google for job agency in your area? And do they cost, or take bits of your pay, or what?
