Overprotective?

Ok I need some advice here folks. Am I being overprotective or would you have issues with this too!

Here's the story:

8th grade field trip to Washington, D.C over spring break.  Now don't get me wrong I do think it would be a cool trip for anyone. That's not my problem.  The problem is that they are taking 35-42 kids... and 3 chaperones.  That's ( Read more... )

Trust the kid, if you trust your kid to behave and not be an idiot it should work out okay.

But 3 hours for the Smithsonian, that's a day trip in and of itself. I got kicked out of the natural history museum in London at closing time, been the same at Chamber street in Edinburgh.

How old is the kid? 13-14? I dunno...I would say if there were a few more adults just let him go. But 3 adults for 35 kids is nuts. Probably be a fantastic trip for him though. You know your son better than any of us, how he'd behave and so on. I reckon if they needed more adults they'd take more.

Thanks for all the advice guys. I decided not to let him go after much stressing. I just can't see it with only 3 grownups.
