toasterstrumpet is having a big ol' back piece done in four sessions. She's also a total hottie, so of course I was happy to snap a few quick shots after session 1 had healed. These are straight out of the camera with next to no retouching done. Next step comes on Thursday!

Wow, these are (and she is) gorgeous! I'm eager to see what you do with them.

What kind of retouching do you have in mind? The first thing that occurred to me with the first image was to desaturate the background so that all the color in the image is focused on her.

Wow again.

I got a coupon for discounted canvas in my email box today - great time to order that big thing we've been talking about! I have the digital file, just need to find the time to tweak the coloring and touch it up, and it'll be ready to order.

*grin* Great!

Although I may have to ask if you can wait for the sale until after Pennsic. Lots of stuff I'm having to buy for Heralds Point where I need to front the cash and then get re-imbursed =)

I'll buy it and display it in my home until you're ready to take it off my hands. ;) Did we ever get final measurements for the width? Just need the width since glancing over my notes, the image is shorter than your space.

Nice photo.
I am kinda curious. Is the man in the tree accidental or intentional?

Now I'm really curious...where do you see a man?

Dead center his face is looking straight up
His hair is the bottom left blossom
his arms are hugging and melding into the tree
It reminded me of the jack of the woods I'd see in the forest when I was a child.
I think it's exceptionally cool that the tree on your back has the kind of illusion I saw as a child
