If you hang me on the wall, please hang me by the ghost painting you won at that art gatherum we went to after seeing Nightmare Before xmas in 3D.... (this is Alisa, btw, Fnord's friend from Alaska)
Awww. If you let me draw you, I will hang it wherever you want! :) I hear you're an Artist, too. Fnord wants me to show you the creative side of Atlanta and I would be happy to do it. :)
By all means. Just give me a few weeks to get into the swing of things, as it were. I'm fairly sure that I'll be spending the first week trying to get over the jetlag and get the transport system figured out.
i often wonder how many of the artistically creative people i've crossed paths with in my lifetime still have a burning passion for putting their impressions of life into physical form. forces that seek to deaden, quell or transform people like you and me sometimes succeed. i like looking back on my history as an artist and seeing how it has evolved. right now i'm not only at the most creative time in my life, but i would say i am also more deeply passionate about my artistic expression than i have ever been.
your post was great to read. great and re-assuring :-)
You know, When I think of creative passion, You are the one that comes to mind. When I need a boost or to unlock a block, It's your wisdom that brings me back. I've said it before and I will say it now. I would not be the same person if I didn't have you in my life. You have been my creative cheerleader and inspiration uncountable times. Thank you.
awwwww... i love how you see the world sweetie. i love it when i see the world that way. when my mind let's go from the mundaneness of day to day life... and i get to see the beauty of the simple things. there are times when i see faces in the floors or the walls. i can look at a spot on the floor and see art and think to myself, damn i wish i had something to draw with right now! i once saw a strand of hair in my shower, and it was in the shape of a sleeping cat! i find art in the most random of things. so i know exactly what you mean. but i don't always take the time to bring it out into the world.. so it stays in my head. which i'm not proud of....what can i say... i've become banal over the years. dammit! :(
you know, we're a rare and exotic breed. It took me a very long time to discover that other people didn't see the world like I did. It is a wonderful thing to find others who view the world creatively. It gives more possibility to life and i am grateful when i find kindred spirits.
I don't take enough time to bring my creative mind out into the world either, but I'm trying to change that.
