Well, honestly I believe, Reid would break even more than Luke. If it makes sense to compare such a thing...If Reid would die, Luke's world would be destroyed, but the way he is 'structured' he needed a lot of time but would build a new world upon the ruins of his life with Reid, of course never forgetting him and always honering him, but, yes, I think he would and he could do this.
Reid? Not so much. I am sure, if Luke would die, Reid would die, too.
