Just buy a 360 , for goshsakes. It's not like you can't sell the thing after you finish mass effect and upgrade your computer then. 400 bones to play it now is alot less then the 2000 it'll cost you to get an adequete pc 18 months from now when the pc version is released.
A) That's too much hassle. If I'm going that route I may as well just rent a 360 from Blockbuster.
B) If I do get a 360 I want to wait at least until Christmas to see if there's another price drop or maybe a boxing day sale or something.
C) I just wanted to lament the lack of Mass Effect in my life publically. (Abloo bloo bloo!) because god knows I have a stupid backlog of games. I've started giving up on some of them if it's been too long.
I have a feeling they'll release a PC version sooner than 18 months, but we'll see.
ah , fair enough. I can tell you that there won't be another price drop this year. For that you'll have to wait until next may or even next august. Halo3 has kickstarted sales of the 360 a bit and it actually outsold the wii in september.
There just might be a deal within the next couple months where you can buy a 360 with mass effect or atleast save a few bucks on boxing day.
The 18 months thing was just a guess but I'd expect the wait to be atleast a full year and the game will be vista only. Atleast going by gears of war as an example.
Although it's not like North America can always get on its high horse. Atari OKed a lesbian relationship plot in the Neverwinter Nights expansions but nixed a gay relationship. On what grounds I'm not sure.

The thing that really pushed me over to a PS3 first was the fact that Ratchet & Clank was coming out exclusively for it and I don't regret it. R&C:F's biggest crime is that it doesn't do anything NEW per say but it's still a very solid, extremely fun game focusing on explosive weapons while letting you romp around gorgeous, colorful levels. I admit that it might get stale a few more iterations in (they ARE up to #5) but I had an absolute blast with it.
Also: Did you LIKE Fires of Liberation, or is it still good but just not as good as yelling at your teammates in Halo 3?

If I had a 360 instead of a PS3 I'd be wailing about not being able to play Ratchet & Clank so I'd be bitching either way.
Will you actually be picking it up or is Ace Combat 6 all you need out of life at the moment.

But yeah, I'm getting Mass Effect whenever I get around to picking it up.
