Oh, so THAT'S what that was...

This morning, about 0600, I awoke to the sensaiton of my whole body trembling.  'Muscle spasms?' I wondered to myself.  Then,  still half-asleep,  I looked up  to where I had hung my jacket... and saw that it was swinging back and forth.
'...Muscle spasms don't do that,' I realized after a moment.

Your very first earthquake in Japan and you went through it like a pro. ^^ And good for you being a member of the sanitary kitchen club. May the spirits of the gokiburi haunt them. The things I definitely don't miss about Japan--the unusually large amount of cockroaches and the chikan in the trains.

I haven't been on a train yet, so I haven't had the joy of fending off perverts. And blah on unsanitary people!

Did I post the story about the cockroach that wouldn't die? *shudders* yeah, I've lived in so many places that have the disgusting things, you'd think I'd be used to it! But noooooooooooo~!

Oh my. Cockroach-phobic and you lived in HAWAI'I, where the darn things are huge, spiky, and FLY? You poor, poor thing. I hope any cockroaches you might have to deal with in the dorm are much less nasty than those critters!

(Although at least back there you should have had geckos to fight them off in little miniature-scale Godzilla battles...)
