In CA safe

Aug 12, 2009 04:22

We and the cats all made it safely to our new home in CA. More later. Also, if later today you feel like swinging by San Bruno and helping to unpack a 24 ft truck, you'd be a rockstar.

Tempted. Would seriously help me take my mind off my own issues.

Gotta check de anti·histamines first...not to mention I don't have a clue where in SB you are.

I've only got 2 hours online, when I'm online at all. Phone would be simpler. Give me a buzz around 4pm today.

San Bruno is very very cool.
The house is right in the fog belt.

I can't speak to the gay scene, but the Greater Sacramento Area Flood Plain is not necessarily that much cheaper than the Peninsula and it's only cooler in a meteorological sense during the winter.

Not to be a jerk, but I've always hated Sac. I'm sure there's a bunch of it I've never seen. I have a lot of friends here and there was a place that worked out for me to go to when I need to leave Washington.

As for the Sac gay scene, I've been to Faces once and it was before I should have been able to get in. There is a pretty big chub/bear scene in SF, too.

However, once I'm settled and working and such, I'd love to come visit and meet the daughter!

Glad to hear you're down (up?) there and all is well. I start my own trek northward soon...errr...tomorrow.
