Did you know that there is a Sydney sea shell collecting society? I didn't until just then and I think it's very cute and lovely, the fact that adults can find enough enjoyment from collecting shells washed up on the beach that they have a website and monthly meetings and such. Well, I have maintained LJ silence for some time.  I think the most signifcant event has been the horrid time I had with uni enrolment, that took about a week and a half of jumping through admistrative hoops and much uncertainty.  It's all sorted now and I have and interesting (and for the first time ever, biology free) semester ahead of me.

Wow. I've just sat down and added up what I've done at uni and what i need to do to be finished and discovered to my horror that I'm only 7 credit points off having a science degree. At my uni, most subjects are worth 3 credit points, so that means I'm only tweo and a bit subjects away from finishing. That makes finishing my education stuff ( Read more... )

The world is hot and filled with insects. Although I acknowledge that the sea is part of the world, it is neither hot nor full of insects, and this makes the sea pleasing to me.
