So, am I down to annual updates yet?
So, there's actually been quite a bit going on in my life lately...
Quick recap:
House = got
dog = got
appliances = got
energy = none
So, Teri and I got a house now. I'm honestly not as thrilled as she is about it, but hey, it's a house. That's like all grown up and shit, right? I guess that technically, Teri has a house now, since it was done on her credit alone. I wound up getting the appliances - we were both shocked when Home Depot extended more credit to me than to her - but I guess that's not so surprising since she just recently went about another 100k in debt. Might have affected her credit score just a touch. Still, we should be getting the $8,000 credit back from the government, so that will knock out the appliances right off the bat, and we may be able to pay off my car with the left over. Here's hoping.
In other news, Teri found a dog that she fell in love with, so we now have a miniature dachshund. Yeah, that was kinda out of nowhere for me too. I only briefly met the dog (Vivian) last night in a semi comatose state. She was quiet last night, though - so that gives me hope that I will not lose a great amount of sleep over this.
So, now we need to get stuff packed up so we can begin the great migration. We are looking to move the large furnishings on the 24th if possible (specifically the couch and bed) so we can feel like we actually live there. Other incidentals will be moved more slowly, hopefully allowing us time to organize and reduce stuff as we go. e-mail me if you would like the new address - it looks like it will be more or less permanent.
