While I appear to be totally outvoted, I would say to hide. I would rather ask my whereabouts later from someone on the town, farm, or wagons rather than the armed guy with the big dog when there is no one else around to prevent an incident.
Also, find water! If you have a headache and have been lying in the sun for an unknown time, you are probably slightly dehydrated.
